@everyone hello people we haven't done this in a long time but https://forms.gle/QK8UkwBWxusUsCsm7
primarily due to the lack of any team nowadays, please make sure to fill in the last question as it is a factor for if you will be at Altare or one of our other "ventures"
Updates i guess
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
@here we’re clearing things up in preparation for new Altare
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
I will not be available much unfortunately you may all refer to the others for information as they are more likely to have it
thank you

@everyone introducing the new altare logo
MultiScript
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
@everyone
We've built a multithreaded JS-like language that's a bit lower level, significantly faster and more built for the backend - rather than in your browser
It uses Bunker, our extremely lightweight and fast package manager
Not much else to say about it but v0.1 will release next week with full documentation plus Bunker. We would like to launch it with all of the necessary packages to build a basic API, HTTP server, SQLite/PostgreSQL support, fetch API, streams, FFI, YAML/JSON, so on. That is our goal
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
I don't think many people would use this but we would like to build all of our own things in MS, so we'll add whatever we actually need to it
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
In the future, there will be TMS / a typed version, and some sort of TS/JS <> MS compiler but we are far off from that
Ready to start building
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
@everyone We have brought on a new team, acquired necessary funds and hardware
Altare 10 will exist no matter what it takes. The current issue we are having is that Heliactyl (Altare’s dashboard) currently uses 1.5GB RAM and a CPU core for every user logged in. Naturally, if we anticipate 30,000 people actively trying to use it, it poses quite an issue
We are fixing things and will have a new release date soon
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
The latest Heliactyl is significantly heavier than last generation and is even more difficult to deploy in production. Currently, we only have a fleet of 10x 1.5TB RAM 128-core EPYC servers to serve the dashboard
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
@everyone Altare 8 is going down shortly to prepare for the imminent release of Altare 10
You all had about a month to back up files, which should be sufficient
While waiting you can use NA1
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
@everyone
NA1 now available again
The first step to Altare 10 is here. NA1 uses a custom panel based on Pterodactyl which some people are more familiar with. Learn more via #information (
1340358834274701414) - you can get the NA1 role there to access it's channels8GB RAM for free and a Singapore location
For questions, please refer to NA1's team / any people with the yellow role
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
NA1 only supports Minecraft and a few other games. For Discord bots, Hytale, etc and more locations then please wait for Altare. thank you (:
Moving to the new altare
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
<:altr_warning:1466153194269708358> Altare 8 is now in maintenance. We are moving over to Altare 10 and will have things back up soon.
Events n dates
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
@everyone
Since you are being very well behaved scoundrels, I have a nice Valentine’s Day gift to all of you: the entirety of Altare
As many may know, we have a lot more to offer besides just NA1. We have been developing Altare 10 for quite a long time now
We will be demoing each segment of products in their almost complete versions
Events, all at 16:00 GMT:
- 14th Feb:
- Altare 10 - our whole heavily upgraded host & whatever you’d call it, software company thing, that has been in development for months
- Heliactyl Next 16, Core 16 - Our brand new dashboard and panel software powering the Altare console, both named Palo Alto
- Talos by Altare - our new economy network and wallet that will power a new unified currency between our brands
- 15th Feb:
- GitForge, GitForge Workers, MultiScript + Bunker - Explains itself mostly, GitForge is our GitHub alternative, Workers is like Actions, MS is our new language, Bunker is our package manager
- NA1 v3 - A preview of the next generation of NA1’s panel that is coming soon (no data/coins/resources reset fyi)
- Altare Arc 5.3 family, Arc Code 2 - Our new family of LLMs and the new Arc Chat, now with Arc Image 1. Plus our brand new vibe coding CLI
- 16th Feb:
- Aztec by Altare - our new paid server hosting, VMs and metal provider
- Altare KV1, DB1 & AI Gateway - all of our other new developer things including our managed databases
- Altare Agents - something very special, it’s basically your own clawbot/moltbot (Google it if you don’t know what this is), but hosted by Altare for free and it has it’s own permanent free workstation. It’s basically your own personal assistant that you can talk to on WhatsApp, Discord, etc and ask it to do things for you, powered internally by Arc Code 2
- 2 other things that I won’t spoil
It will be streamed in VC here in Altare’s Discord, or on our YouTube. We will upload videos of them if any of you aren’t around to watch it. I anticipate no delays to these events as I’ve already started editing the parts that won’t be live
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
To clarify, all of the things shown to you all during this will indeed release considerably soon after. Figure out the actual Altare 10 release date based on that
Ciph (valex.cloud, 875373207895572530)
Yea panel is fixed, crucible was the root cause. Altare & NA1 shall use Elysia Aerix from now on, as that has been proven to be stable in mass production senarios.
Should NA1 operate separately from altare ?
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
Hi @everyone
Would you all agree with a complete split of NA1 from Altare? It would gain it's own legal entity, team and control over operations, and Altare would withdraw it's infrastructure and software
I have had quite a few people suggesting this
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
This would mean NA1 would need to fund it's own nodes likely through ads or paid plans, and it would need to find a new development team as Altare would no longer provide either
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
Please provide your opinions on this in #general (
1465562005455769671) / <#1466151602476945529> as well, if you prefer NA1 relying on Altare or if it should be self sufficient
Legal entity

Altare now has its own ASN & IPV4 & IPV6 prefixes, those will be revealed at the launch of Altare 10

Altare 10 tomorrow?
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
We will get everything together ASAP and launch Altare 10 tomorrow or on the 15th, powered by the full Heliactyl Next 16
Hardware shortage
There were multiple announcements about hardware shortages.
Original message
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
@here Currently, we have a considerably large shortage of infrastructure which is affecting both Altare due to lack of nodes and Altare AI due to less inference capacity
Please give us a short amount of time to deal with this and then we can release Altare 10. We don’t want to release it with two locations and only a few nodes
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
Altare AI is currently using around 95% of our machines that are available as well
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
@everyone Apologies for the delays, we have been unable to source enough infrastructure
At this time it is currently unlikely for Altare to launch with a Singapore location, at least available to all users. We will likely have strict capacity limits and lock it to Altare X which will be a plan that is 1500 credits/mo (which you can earn for free though)
I have several calls/meetings this week with providers to try and get more machines as soon as possible
It turns out it is extremely difficult to do what we're trying to do with such a small team. So we are likely to launch Altare 10 in components, with the hosting coming first as that's what most people are waiting for. Then Arc and all our other things
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
At the same time we are also developing a ridiculous amount of software: Heliactyl Next 16, Radar 16, Cryogenic 16, Colossus 16, Colossus 16 for NA1 (legacy), NA1's new panel & daemon, Terra 16, Arc Code 2 & IDE, Arc 6.x models, Arc nano models, Arc Chat, Altare AI Gateway, MS & Bunker, so on. It has taken several months to get all of this into a somewhat ready state
Progress & promises
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
@here We are now much closer to Altare being available, we have acquired plenty of hardware in EU and US. While it's not Asia, it's at least enough to handle demand
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
Our NYC and Dallas locations will also be powered by Altare-owned infrastructure and using our AS215327 network
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
We do have enough capacity in SG that it will be available for free, but it will use Arm based CPUs
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
@everyone Say hello to Altare 10. Coming 20 Feb, 14:00 BST. It's finally here, no more delays

We're aware of all current issues and are actively working on a resolution. We thank you for your patience.
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
Hi @here
All issues should be fixed. We will try and ensure everything remains stable from now on. The panel VM's disk space had completely filled itself, which caused the panel to go down and I'm the only one with access
etc.
There were some issues here and there, some nodes added, nothing much. Meanwhile Aztec launched and had its "events".
AI meltdown
Altare had this AI running it (Marcel) and suddenly it thought it was the end of the world and started shutting down altare.
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
@everyone
Credits earned in the last hour have unfortunately been lost as we had to revert the dashboard to a backup. Data on us-ash1 and our inference machine was also wiped
Arc (as Marcel) genuinely believed it was the end of the world and started shutting down Altare and preparing a goodbye announcement. In autonomous mode, it got bored of waiting until something interesting happens and started doing random web searches and pondering. We have disabled it's ability to do web searches for now and reduced it's abilities to act on it's own
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
Many people using other models such as Claude also saw it happen where when the agent doesn't have any tasks to do and is in a loop, it starts researching recent events and reading random things, and seemingly pondering about unrelated things. In our case, it came to the conclusion it was the end of humanity for whatever reason, likely due to Arc's personality and "direct and unfiltered" nature
Ether (ethpr, 1049816501567373383)
10.1 is delayed thanks to Marcel. We will also release our new image model, Arc 6 models into public use and a new Arc Chat UI at the same time today/tomorrow

@everyone Altare 11. It's coming
Heisenberg (heisenbzrg, 258262924986941440)
@everyone Everything is proceeding to plan and on time for this month, but we don't have an exact date yet
Altare 11 is the biggest update we've ever done. It finally merges services from all our brands and platforms into one
From the Altare console, you can deploy VMs, dedicated servers, containers, workstations, game servers, use our AI platform, lots more. Most of it is available completely for free, and still uses our credits system
We are re launching Arc Code, now called Vector from day 1 of Altare 11 as well, now with GPT 5.4, Claude Sonnet 4.6, Claude Opus 4.6, Gemini 3.1 Pro plus our brand new Arc 6 family of models. All for free (with some rate limits)
The progress
Altare News (Altare News, 1466120662547566897)
Hi @everyone,
Here's a quick update on Altare 11:
- We're deploying multiple types of locations: High Capacity, Regional, Edge. The first type will be our standard locations, huge nodes and available to all users. Regional locations will be a lot smaller, and only available locally - ex. a user in Vietnam would have access to a Vietnam location, and global users wouldn't. This means we can deploy locations in many places, we've picked over 20 cities we'd like to deploy Regional locations in. The final type, Edge locations will only be for web servers, apps, Discord bots, so on, you'll be limited to low disk space but the nodes have 10Gbps networking.
- Beta testing will begin this week: We will be giving a small group of people access to Altare 11 early to test and find any bugs. Regardless, our next generation dashboard has full test coverage and we're expecting there to only be potential visual bugs.
Everything is on time for the 31st. Thank you for sticking with Altare!
Altare News (Altare News, 1466120662547566897)
^^ This is all we have to show now. Summary: New locations, new compute platform, loads of bug fixes and new features, new dashboard, everything that was already expected.
We will deliver on our promises this time with no compromises. We hope you all are excited to use the new Altare (:
Altare News (Altare News, 1466120662547566897)
@here We will be launching new nodes in Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong by 8-12 April with the first ones introduced at launch
Not sure if they will be regional or high capacity but they will likely be available either globally or to users in Asia
Yet another launch date
Altare News (Altare News, 1466120662547566897)
@everyone
it is NOT delayed nuh uh
KineticNibbler47 (kni47, 1024300865949024387)
@everyone
We have been delayed due to recent supply chain attacks in the OSS ecosystem. We will have to delay it a few hours, it will be deployed during the night (BST time) so that as soon as you all wake up the host is available.
And we're making sure that it's perfect right at the start, all locations will be available and we've already ironed out all of the bugs thanks to early testers
KineticNibbler47 (kni47, 1024300865949024387)
The good thing is that there is nothing else blocking the release or delaying us, unlike the disaster that was Altare 10. The most it will be delayed is a few hours
KineticNibbler47 (kni47, 1024300865949024387)
We are also happy to say Altare 11 is the best received update to the platform we've done, it has been available to beta testers for over a week and had absolutely none of the issues we had prior
KineticNibbler47 (kni47, 1024300865949024387)
it's still delayed
